Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of Music Forte's services, including music lessons, instrument sales, rentals, repairs, consignment, our website, and our text messaging program. By using our services, signing up for lessons or rentals, dropping off an instrument for repair or consignment, making a purchase, or opting in to text messages, you agree to these Terms. 1. Lessons & Scheduling

Music lessons are scheduled in advance and billed according to the plan or package you select. By enrolling, you agree to the following:

• Payment. Lesson fees are due in advance of the lesson or billing period. Enrollment continues until you notify us that you wish to stop.
• Late or missed payments. If payment is not received by its due date, we may pause or cancel scheduled lessons until the balance is paid. Repeated or extended late payments may result in the loss of your regular lesson time slot, and a late fee may be applied.
• Cancellations & rescheduling. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Lessons cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice ("no-shows"), are generally charged in full and are not eligible for make-up lessons. Make-up lessons, when offered, are subject to instructor availability.
• Ending lessons. You may stop lessons at any time by notifying us. Prepaid lessons that have not been used may be applied to future lessons; refunds, when given, are at our discretion and exclude lessons already taken or reserved.
• Instructor changes. We may need to substitute instructors or adjust schedules from time to time and will make reasonable efforts to keep your lessons consistent.

2. Instrument Rentals

When you rent an instrument from Music Forte, you agree to the rental agreement provided at the time of rental, along with these Terms:

• Rental payments. Rental fees are billed on the schedule stated in your rental agreement (for example, monthly). You are responsible for keeping payments current for as long as you have the instrument.
• Late payments. Past-due rental payments may incur a late fee. If a rental account becomes significantly past due and we are unable to resolve it with you, we reserve the right to require the return of the instrument and to pursue any unpaid balance.
• Care of the instrument. You are responsible for keeping the rented instrument in good condition (normal wear excepted) and for any loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear while it is in your possession. Repair or replacement costs may apply.
• Returns. Instruments must be returned to the store in good condition. Rentals continue to bill until the instrument is returned and the account is closed.
• Rent-to-own. Where a rent-to-own option applies, the specific terms are described in your rental agreement.

3. Repairs & Service

When you leave an instrument with us for repair or service, the following applies:

• Estimates & authorization. We will provide an estimate when possible. By authorizing the work, you agree to pay the quoted charges. If additional work is needed, we will try to contact you before proceeding.
• Payment. Repair charges are due in full when the work is complete and before the instrument is released to you.
• Pickup within 7 days. Once we notify you that your repair is complete, you must pick up the instrument within seven (7) days. Instruments not picked up within 7 days of the completion notice may be subject to additional storage and penalty fees, which must be paid before the instrument is released.
• Unclaimed instruments. If an instrument remains unclaimed and we are unable to reach you using the contact information you provided for ninety (90) days after the completion notice, the instrument may be treated as abandoned. After that period, Music Forte reserves the right to retain, sell, or otherwise dispose of the instrument to recover unpaid repair, storage, and penalty charges, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable Pennsylvania law.

4. Consignment Instruments

If you place an instrument with Music Forte for consignment (so that we can sell it on your behalf), you agree to the consignment terms provided at drop-off, along with these Terms:

• Sale & commission. We will offer the instrument for sale at an agreed price and retain an agreed commission or fee from the proceeds when it sells.
• Keeping your contact information current. You are responsible for keeping us updated with current contact information so we can reach you about your consigned instrument or sale proceeds.
• Unable to reach you. If your consigned instrument (or the proceeds from its sale) remains with us and we are unable to reach you using the contact information you provided for ninety (90) days, the instrument or proceeds may be treated as abandoned. After that period, Music Forte reserves the right to retain, sell, or otherwise dispose of the instrument and to retain unclaimed proceeds, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable Pennsylvania law.
• Condition & risk. We take reasonable care of consigned instruments but are not responsible for normal aging of materials. Specific responsibility for loss or damage is addressed in your consignment agreement.

5. Sales, Payments & Returns

• Pricing & availability. Prices and product availability may change. We do our best to keep listings accurate and will let you know if an item is unavailable.
• Payment. Payment is due at the time of purchase. Card payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
• Instrument returns. New and used instrument purchases include a seven-day return privilege. Consignment sales are final unless the instrument has a serious malfunction. For return assistance, contact Music Forte at 215-946-9295. Manufacturer warranty coverage, where applicable, is separate from this return privilege.
• Manufacturer warranties. Many new instruments and products carry a manufacturer's warranty. Warranty service is provided according to the manufacturer's terms.

6. Text Messaging (SMS) Program

Music Forte may offer a text messaging (SMS) program to send service notices and, with your permission, promotions and updates. By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to the following:

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it. In short, we do not sell your information, and our marketing is opt-in only and can be stopped at any time.

8. Website Use

The content on this website, including text, logos, and images, belongs to Music Forte or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. You agree to use the website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation or security. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for the content of third-party sites.

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Our services and website are provided "as is" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We make no guarantees that the website will always be available or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Music Forte is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the applicable ordinances of our local township and municipality, as well as applicable federal law. Music Forte operates in compliance with all such applicable federal, Pennsylvania state, and local laws. Any dispute relating to these Terms or our services will be handled in the courts located in Pennsylvania, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. Your continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
